OOCL, TSK to operate Asia-Middle East service

ORIENT Overseas Container Line (OOCL) and Tokyo Senpaku Kaisha (TSK) say that they will jointly operate a new Middle East Asia Express service (MAX) in July.

Five 5,000-TEU containerships will be deployed on the new fixed-day weekly MAX service, which has been created to replace the individual Middle East services currently run by TSK and OOCL, and provide faster transit times to better suit customer needs.

The port rotation for MAX will be: Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.

The first vessel to set sail on the new liner service will be the "OOCL Dubai", departing Shanghai on July 11.

As a member of Japan's NYK Group, TSK is a shipping line dedicated to the transport of containerised cargo within Asia, extending from Sakhalin in the north to Indonesia in the south and the Middle East in the west.
